Our Covid-19 Response

The COVID-19 pandemic is disrupting most aspects of our daily lives. The Branch is actively monitoring the circumstances and recommendations from credible health organizations (Center for Disease Control and the World Health Organization), Feeding America and state and local governments. We’re using these recommendations to guide our work. The outbreak has presented The Branch with new challenges to overcome and new opportunities to serve the Antioch community. Our priority remains focused on providing safe, on-line ESL classes for our students and providing food to those in need, a demand that has increased significantly in recent weeks.

We are continuing to provide food assistance to all who come to us, while at the same time, striving to be cautious about exposing our staff, volunteers, and guests to the virus. This balancing act has led to some changes in the way we are conducting our food distribution days.

As part of our response, we are increasing the amount of food brought into our Pantry, and increasing the number of families we can serve. This increase in service is dependent on an increase in our volunteer staff, and we need your help. We are now registering volunteers through Volunteer Local, an online application. If you are a first-time volunteer, please fill out the Volunteer Registration form by clicking below.

All guests receiving food will be asked to stay in their cars and wait in the parking lot until their scheduled appointment time.

Keep car windows closed and be prepared to show proper ID through the window:

  •     Please have a valid proof of residence, such as a TN Driver’s License or utility bill showing your correct address

You will need to answer the following questions through a small opening in your car window. Our registrars will stand 6 ft. from your open window.

  •      How many people are in your household?

  •      Approximate monthly income for the household.
