How did you celebrate Valentine's Day? The Branch celebrated Valentine's Day this past weekend by focusing on our hearts and our health. Our English program partnered with Belmont University nursing students who helped our ELL students practice making doctor's appointments, understand health phrases and learn about healthy heart habits. They even checked our students' blood pressure, glucose, temperature, and pulse. Students that attended received a certificate of participation.
It was a wonderful night of learning more about our heart health and practicing practical English skills.
