From a foundation of Christian values, The Branch helps support those in our community who face the challenge of food insecurity for their families and those who need to increase their English language skills in order to acquire good jobs that will allow them to rise above poverty. The work we do is ambitious and rewarding. We invite you to join with us in serving the Lord by loving our neighbors.
We distribute food to our neighbors in need Monday - Saturday, by appointment only. Due to Covid-19, we are asking our guests to remain in their cars. Volunteers are needed to register our guests and to collect the food that will be taken to the cars.
In addition, the Pantry receives food on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, and we welcome anyone who wants to help unload, sort, and stock the food from the trucks.
Volunteers are needed Monday thru Thursday during the day or in the evening to bring food, set up for students to self- serve, and clean up afterward. Daytime hospitality, serving light snacks for our adult students, starts at 9:00 am and ends around 10:00 or 10:30 am.
Nighttime hospitality starts at 5:45 pm and ends around 7:15 to 7:30 pm. Our students are often hungry as they come straight from work to class, so providing a heavier snack or lighter dinner item (sandwiches, spaghetti, pizza) for them is suggested. Partnering with family, friends, or small groups to provide hospitality for the nighttime students is recommended.
We rely on volunteers to help us take care of our facility. Many needs arise such as cleaning and minor repairs. If you love taking care of a building, give us a shout! We need people who are interested in doing the actual tasks and someone to manage others who want to volunteer for the tasks.
Donating to The Branch of Nashville means a child won’t go to bed hungry. A mom can understand what the doctor is saying. Families have hope for the future, and your financial gift helps makes it happen.
Your gift directly serves the needs of our neighbors. You can offer your gift for the most urgent area of need, or pick the program you prefer to support.
We welcome one-time donations as well as monthly commitments to help sustain our budgetary needs throughout the year.
You may make an online donation by clicking the button below, or you may mail a check to: The Branch of Nashville, 2620B Una Antioch Pike, Antioch, TN 37013.
