Coalition membership is open to anyone, and all skill sets are valuable to our efforts. You do not have to attend every meeting to serve as a Coalition Member. We meet the last Tuesday of every month.

For more information about the Coalition, visit our Collective Action page or email betterfuturesco@gmail.com.

Food 4 Families Project

Gather a group to collect food, pack boxes, and deliver to The Branch. Purchase boxes or repurpose boxes and assemble items, aiming for 3-4 days of food. Register your project and let us know when you will drop if off. Drop off times are Mon, Tues, Fri 9AM-1PM, or Sat 9AM-11AM. Closed on Thursdays.

Here is a suggested list of food items but feel free to substitute:

  • Rice
  • Pasta
  • Tuna
  • Lentils
  • Peanut butter
  • Tomato sauce
  • Canned veggies

Consider adding a $20 grocery store gift card to purchase meat and produce.

Use this opportunity to teach children about hunger needs.

  • Imagine going to school without breakfast or not having dinner before you go to bed tonight.
  • Some kids may feel tired or sad because they didn’t have enough to eat.
  • 1 out of 5 children don’t have enough to eat

Have children draw pictures or write notes of prayer, encouragement, or love. Consider attaching these to a goodie bag, pack of gum, or candy bar. Treats like this make people smile!

Volunteer at an Upcoming Event

Like all our programming, successful events at The Branch of Nashville depend on our volunteers. If you or your group are interested in volunteering at an upcoming event, please email us for more information. We appreciate your eagerness to serve!
