Our Mission
The Branch of Nashville strives to build a community where everyone can thrive by nourishing, educating, and equipping our neighbors.
The Branch of Nashville strives to build a community where everyone can thrive by nourishing, educating, and equipping our neighbors.
Because our faith propels us to love God and love our neighbors as we love ourselves, we are dedicated to listening well to our neighbors’ needs and walking with them on their journey to holistic well-being. We do this through comprehensive care, urgent food support, English language learning, and collective action with other community partners. As we do this work, we pray that our community will see the love that God has for them.
Since 2013, The Branch of Nashville and our community partners have helped thousands of Nashville families.
Our food pantry provides for individuals, families, and older adults facing urgent food insecurity.
Our ELL classes help adult learners gain proficiency and confidence in reading, writing, and speaking English.
We address the root causes of food insecurity and poverty with individualized coaching and resource navigation.
The Branch of Nashville has a thriving food pantry, but we’re more than that. When our neighbors need additional support to reach greater well-being, we work together to help them realize their worth, find their strength, and achieve their unique goals.
We believe every person is created in the image of God and has inherent value and worth, no matter their circumstances. We work to avoid biases and treat everyone fairly. We celebrate the uniqueness of each of our neighbors.
With faith as our guide, we make every effort to live well and take good care of others. We will care for the poor, seek justice and mercy for those within our care, and treat everyone we meet with respect.
We help people feel welcome by fostering a strong sense of belonging in our community. We build strong networks with other agencies, local businesses, and volunteers so our neighbors receive ongoing support through meaningful relationships.
Together, we are stronger. Partnership and collaboration are essential to alleviate food insecurity and poverty. We seek out connections with other groups who share our values.
